I grew up 1 block south of 8 Mile off of Schoenherr across from what used to be Al Long Ford. Best neighborhood I ever lived in. Not a single vacant property, crime free, and very friendly neighbors.

The Bellaire center is a dump. When I lived there, there was a Target, Toys R Us, Builders Square, and a movie theater. Target, Toys R Us, and Builders Square are gone, not sure if the theater is still open.
