hahaha...

The Plymouth/Canton burbs are nowhere near as interesting as those around Farmington or Rochester, but some people like Plymouth and Northville enough to live on that side of town. Again, you're closer to Ann Arbor. The Northern OC is close to ... Flint and Pontiac and Mt Clemens. yay. (Oh, but also Birmingham and Royal Oak! )

I used to belong to both the Northville and Canton Chamber's of Commerce and if I were you, I would choose Canton. They are very community oriented and you'll be pleased with what the city has to offer.

Don't get me wrong, Northville is great too. The community is the only city in Michigan that is in both Oakland & Wayne counties which does afdect the taxes. However, Northville is more affluent than Canton, so the homes will be priced to reflect that.

In Canton, I think you'll find that your house will appreciate faster and that your children will benefit from the schools, recreation, library, etc.

A downtown area is being built across from The Village Theater and I'd say about 10% of the community is rural now. And as far as the Klan goes, puuhhlleeeezzze.

can't go wrong with Plymouth or Northville: better access to shopping/dining, central location to most major areas (15 - 20 min. to Ann Arbor, 30 min. to downtown detroit, 30 min to Royal Oak). School district is pretty impressive.

Canton's basically a bunch of haphazard developments along the "Ford Road Strip Mall".

Ford road doubles as a parking lot during rush hour.
