"What is the place in Wyandotte that serves Muskrat? I just want to make certain that i never go in there by mistake. "

It's the place on Oak.... Is is Dom Polski's??? It's on the south side of Oak at about 17th... I think they do smaller wedding receptions. I've never tried the muskrat, and I lived in the area for 36 years....

Oh and a couple more...

Mexican Gardens in Southgate-- yummy!

Roma's Pizza in Southgate at Eureka and Fort. It's a little divey joint and it used to be owned by the guy who originally owned Vito's in Lincoln Park. Their pizza sauce is sweet. And their house salad dressing must have some highly addictive drug as a key ingredient!

ColdJensen-- Is Kola's still open on Fort, just south of Penn? They too used to serve a wide variety of "wild" food. I think that muskrat might have been on their menu. But I think that they made it into one of those assemble your meals places... You'll still see Johnny's trucks at the art fairs...

Default Best in the suburbs? Any in Detroit?

Not really sure what most of the restaurants here have to do with Detroit or why in the Detroit forum, but hey, I enjoy the thrill of being "oppositional" and will gladly participate--

KATE'S KITCHEN in Flat Rock...flat out the BEST pies and BREAKFAST that's what I'm talkin' about..strawberry rhubarb..

A few Detroit places I really like..... Traffic Jams has great sandwiches. Majestic cafe has good appetizers. Union Street Station with their entrees and beer are worth the trip to Woodward, and 3rd street pub for pizza and their juke box.

You are right, Mario's has the best Ministroni soup in the city. Has anyone tried Avalon Bakery On Willis off of Cass? They have great sandwiches and coffee along with their fresh baked bread!
