Default Relocation to Windsor/Canada?

Just wondering how many Detroiters are deciding to move south of the border to persue jobs in Canada? How is the job market looking over there?

The job market in Windsor, from what I heard from residents, is terrible. Remember, Windsor is and was the auto capital of Canada. When GM and Chrysler cut N. American jobs many of those jobs were in Canada, more specifically Windsor.

If you are interested in Canada, I hear that Toronto has the best job market currently.

A couple years back I heard from several people that if you wanted a job, then look at Windsor or Ohio. Not sure how true that is nowadays, but considering that Canada's economy hasn't flopped as much as the US's - it still might not hurt to look there. After all, the unemployment rate here is 14.1%

Windsor currently has the highest unemployment rate in Canada (13.8%) due to the cuts at Chrysler and GM, the high Canadian dollar, and the passport rule affecting tourism from the US. Unfortunately, there are few jobs available and the same can be said for much of southwestern Ontario.
