lol Actually, somebody was doing that to meters uptown and got in trouble for it. I don't see anything wrong with it myself. I think the city was just mad they were losing money because of it.

I did that all the time when I lived in California. The meter people yelled at me, threatened me and even called the police. But they could not think of any law that I was violating. The meter lady told the policeman that it was "obstruction of Justice" The policeman just laughed. Maybe the police here would react differently. I still wonder what law there is against putting a quarter in a meter for somone? What would a judge say to a DA who brought such a matter to court?
