What do you think of the following:
Ford Field
Comerica Park
Joe Louis Arena
Palace of Auburn Hills
Michigan Stadium
Crisler Arena (Michigan Wolverines basketball)
Spartan Stadium
Breslin Students Event Center (Michigan State basketball)

Are they good, comfortable, safe places to watch a game?
Should the Red Wings and Detroit share an arena in either Palace of Auburn Hills or Joe Louis Arena?
Which arena is better,The Palace or Joe Louis?
Will Detroit be hosting any big sporting events in the next 5 years?

Ford Field - beautiful park
Comerica Park- beautiful park
Joe Louis Arena - pretty old and shabby
Palace of Auburn Hills - very nice venue
Michigan Stadium - never been there
Crisler Arena (Michigan Wolverines basketball) - only saw the Grateful Dead there in 89, never a game

I would much rather go to the Palace than Joe Louis, but I think the hockey games should stay downtown to help revitalize it. Plus if they put a new park in the right place there can be a lot more places to walk to afterward.

Ford Field: Good stadium. I think they could have done better with the way the Big TV screens are at.
Comerica Park: decent ball park. It's nice they did not block the view of the game, if your standing outside of the stadium. So you can watch the game through the fence off the streets.
Joe Louis Arena: The way the bowl design is setup, 99% of the seating areas have great sight lines and are able to see all the action. That's hard to find in any modern arena.
Palace of Auburn Hills: It's ok. I don't go there too often as they don't hold enough events for me to be there.
Michigan Stadium: never been too
Crisler Arena: never been too
Spartan Stadium: never been too
Breslin Students Event Center: never been too

Going to add one you forgot
The Silverdome: Very large and hope they get a MLS team in there at one point.

When I think of quality built stadiums in Detroit I think of Comerica Park.

Ford Field is nice as well, but I think the architecture and layout of Comerica was planned better.

The Palace is regarded as one the best NBA buildings. You have to remember it is one of the oldest in the NBA. The Palace is what set the standard in the NBA arena boom. It was one of the first with mid level luxury boxes. The amenities are one of the best in the league. The problem with The Palace is it's in Auburn Hills. There is nothing around the arena.

Comerica is good for watching a game. It's a little Mickey Mouse for me with the ferris wheel and such. I like because it isn't a bandbox like Philadelphia. It's not ridiculous but HR aren't cheap.

Ford Field is great. People must not get out to domes often. The natural light is truly a great touch.

Joe Louis, what can I say? Not a great building. It's an intimidating place for opponents, but as a fan, not that great.
