Interesting. I see that it is brand new. Here is an interesting article:

Afrezza Inhaled Insulin Hits The Market

The article notes that health insurance companies may not cover the cost as of yet. It also claims that before it can be prescribed the patient must take a lung test (FEV-1).

I see my diabetes doctor in two weeks, and I shall ask him about this product. Since I smoked for 40 years, and still use the electronic cigarettes, I may not be able to use it. I will also have to check out my insurance: I doubt they cover it as of yet.

Smokers can't use it but I don't know about electronic cigs. People with asthma or COPD can't use it.

You might still have to inject, tho less than before. Alfrezza peaks within 15-20 minutes and only lasts about 3 hours before it clears the body. From what I understand, it's very expensive.
