What was your A1c before the diet, and now after the diet?

It was 7.7 before and the last time I was tested it was 5.3. My Dr. said I was her 1st patient to completely reverse their diabetes so dramatically and was intrigued. She read the book, implemented the diet and is now recommending to her patients. As an aside, my daughter runs a business and 2 of her clients told her that they were doing the diet with great results after a recommendation from my Dr.

I hope it does for you what it did for me!

You will learn a lot of nutrition from the book without question even though I believe you're already quite knowledgeable. Some of the things he says are controversial which is why he's attacked for those assertions...on some of those controversial assertions, I wasn't sure but from what has happened with my health and body, I believe now they are true.

I refuse to waste time watching you-tube. Please summarize the diet in 25 words or less--preferably in a rhyming jingle

Far too complicated to summarize in 25 words and I would suggest reading the book if you want to understand and possibly implement the recommendations. If you just want to criticize it, you can watch you tube people with another agenda and/or Freshman level knowledge of nutrition that are busy doing that.

I would pay a $million for this knowledge if that's what it took to learn how to reverse diabetes and cure any number of diseases through diet but fortunately all it took was reading a book given to me by my MIL and then implementing the recommendations....I suggest you get the book and read it if you want to learn how to repair your health and body.

There's no diet that can't be summarized in a few words. If yours can't, it's BS. Do you eat more than 25 things a day? Just list what you're supposed to eat, if you can't summarize the principle behind it.

I happen to know a doctor who prescribed what is essentially the Lo Carb Diet + exercise for diabetics long before it became the fashion. He had a 75% success rate in getting hundreds of pts below the target HbA1c (usual success rate for traditional treatment <50%). The only failures were the ones who wouldn't follow the diet. He says it's just plain applied physiology; no gimmicks.

For breakfast today, I had 2 eggs, brussell sprouts, beets, onion, cheese from grass fed cow, and crab meat cooked in extra virgin olive oil.

Low carb diet, apparently? Of course that will lower your blood sugar, with very nice results.

Well for sure you don't want to eat a bunch of sugar carbs...I think most agree with that. There are things about the Mediterranean diet, Keto, and other diets that are similar but in some cases, very divergent.

I was eating a diet before I switched to the Plant Paradox diet that my Dr. thought should result in lower A1C and cholesterol numbers but it didn't work and when I switched to the Plant Paradox diet, everything clicked for me far more than I ever anticipated....now down 40 lbs, 10 belt sizes and reversed diabetes later, I'm ecstatic.
