As I have said before - Its a bunch a malarky. I had the book. Read it. Studied it. Realized it was baloney and trashed the book. Usually, I donate my books, but I thought this was so ridiculously random and haphazardly put together that I thought it would be better not to pass it along to anyone else.
Ridiculous book. Ridiculous program. "A B+ person should avoid xxxxxx foods because........" ah its Moderator cut: language removed

I’m type B+ and according to the blood type diet chicken is not good for me. What I found interesting is that I came across absolutely scientific research suggesting chicken is not good for anybody because it contains some protein very similar to human proteins, which can cause agglutination of red blood cells (which happens to be my exact problem). I had eliminated chicken for a long time from my diet. I started eating it again because there’s really nothing I can do to pinpoint the source of my problems, but I try to do it less often than I used to.
I've read the same thing Sierra. I'm B- and I figure I should make an effort to rid it from my diet but then I may as well go vegeterian. I think lamb and game meat was big on the list..but I'd have to check those facts. The problem is lamb is very expensive and I'm not sure where I'd even buy game meat (or if I'd like it).
Carbs kill me too...I notice that when I cut down on the amount of carbs I eat I do better with weight loss. I'm not a huge carb fan (I don't eat breads, rolls or cereals) but I do like english muffins, oatmeal, quinoa and rice as well as pita chips and tortillas. Just have to limit those things.
I would strongly suggest anyone who thinks the Blood Type diet is b.s read the official D'Adamo forum, which is chock full of testimonies. Eat Right 4 Your Type | BTD Forums
D'Adamo says that many A's need to follow a low carb regime. The difference between Os and As is tolerance of various foods (As tolerate dairy, for example) and exercise-- blood type Os require much more to be healthy. The Dukan diet which originates in France advocates walking and does not comment on what protein to use; 50% of France is blood type A....
OF COURSE the Blood Type diet is accurate!!

Yeah, lamb, mutton, venison, and other game were big. At first I was buying all sorts of weird stuff I could find (including bison burgers ), but I gave up... It's impossible to stick only to this sort of meat. I do eat more lamb than I used to as I like it anyway, but it is expensive.

Same here. It's always been this way; way before all this research and hype came up. I know it from experience. Luckily, I don't like pasta anyway. To me it's just cheap filler. However, there are plenty of other things I like...
I have over a decade of experience with the Blood Type theory... it is true. If blood type Os in America reduced or eliminated dairy foods and wheat and added red meat to their diet they'd win half the battle. Just doing those things for pretty much all Os is going to make a huge difference. I know this from *experience*.

how can you know from experience what would happen for pretty much all Os? Are you all O's? have you done a study?
No but she read it on the intrawebz so it must be true!
