You can read the D'Adamo website for the scientific "proof". Blood type theory certainly hasn't been disproved.
In any case I've never counted calories on blood type & my waist is 23-24. Body fat is good too though haven't had that done lately. At 40 I'm not gonna start doing something as ridiculous as count calories.
And I already posted pieces from three separate doctors debunking this "proof".
Don't waste your time. There are people who have just adapted their own truths and there's nothing you can do to change their minds. There are those who don't believe there is climate change. There are those who don't believe in evolution. And there are those who don't believe in counting calories. For every basic fact in the world, you'll always find someone who will come along and dispute it with their own version of that fact. You can continue to try to show them scientific realty and established fact, but that will only make them work harder to come up with another "expert" to disprove it.
I counted calories and ate whatever I wanted, but kept it within the 1,500/day range. I am about 5'4 and went from 196 pounds to 160 pounds in 3.5 months and I wasn't working out AT ALL.
Do I wish there was a better solution? Yes. Each time I have fell off the wagon it is SO hard to get back on. I eat for psychological reasons, so my dieting issues run deeper than that. I'm now going back to counting calories. I notice when I do, I change my food choices to stretch my food. Healthier foods always get me WAY more bang for my buck.
Since I'm having issues with hunger I'm starting off at 2,500/day for a week and then lowering it 250/week until I'm at 1,500/day. Each time I try to go straight into 1,500/day I get so hungry at night that I freak out. I also need to get way more sleep.
How the heck do you know your friend's blood types? Does it come up in casual conversation?
I'm more curious to know what kind of person would hang out only with people who know their -own- blood type. Most people I know, have no idea what type they are. It's on the chart at the doctor's office, and that's really all they need to know.
