Overeating and lack of exercise are the #1 power-punch combo reason why the body becomes obese, true. He'll learn what it feels like to be, physically, obese. But what causes the obese to allow themselves to overeat and not exercise in the first place? That's what he needs to address. Anyone can eat too many donuts every day. But not everyone does. THAT - is the underlying issue that would help him most, should he have a chance to tackle it.

Perhaps once he starts getting a little chunky, and experiences feedback from people avoiding his gaze, staring, watching him eat in restaurants and turning to whisper to their dining companions...he'll start feeling what an obese person feels - and it'll help him understand why many of them continue overeating, and lack motivation to get fit. Low self-esteem, that's reinforced by people in your environment - is probably a whole lot more powerful than dangling a hot fudge sundae in front of someone. The former is what leads a person to seek out the latter.

But if all he's doing is watching his body change and pigging out regularly, he won't "get it."
You are very wise...that is exactly what he needs to learn and may or may not learn just by overeating. He's missing the point of WHY people overeat.

But, maybe, as you said, if he stays fat long enough, he'll start to see how people treat him and maybe it will affect him, (I don't know, though since he purposely did this), and THEN he'll get why people over eat.

It's not because they are hungry.

Yep, you are barely eating.

Even if you are eating one meal a day (and you aren't), you are eating a lot of calories. This is not healthy, low calorie food.
I never said that I was barely eating. i am just saying that perhaps a skinny person eats way more than i do everyday. Honestly I think that some folks are just jealous that I am able to cook nutritious meals for my family and they cannot.

Well, or some people are seriously bored! If you believe in your eating plan and you're healthy, don't let professional internet bullies beat on ya. ("This is MY forum, nyar!" LOL...) Just let it roll off your back.

If you're not healthy the way you're eating, you are the one who knows you need to change.

So don't worry, hon.
