10% of people are overweight because they do not do enough exercise.

the other 90% are overweight because they do not know how to eat properly.

Here is the quick way:

Eat 6 times a day, balanced in protein ,carbs and unsaturated fat. Try to keep each meal under 300 cal . You can cheat a little here and there.

Drink 2 quarts of water per day.

Eat lots of fiber, ditch bread, pasta and other refined food on a regular basis. Eat them as treats once a week.

Get out and walk 3 times a week. Start there.

If you stick to this, you WILL lose weight and transform your life. You can go on to more advanced stages later on.

Well.....I think it is just calories in versus calories out. I've cut out the late night snacks and lost a few pounds.

I'm 5'10.5 " and weigh about 178 pounds. I dropped about two pounds since I initially posted. I have an athletic build and am fairly lean, but want to drop to about 165 to 170 pounds at the recommendation of my cardiologist because of a family history of heart disease. I was surprised by his recommendation which did not seem to take into consideration body type (mesomorph). Well...thanks for the thoughts.

As I'm not familiar with that specific diet there's not much I can add, except that diets based on low carbs are often the best way to go. I personally had the best lasting results with these, losing 17Lbs in the first week, while feeling more fit and healthy. I haven't gained any of it over the past months.

Hi,
Diet and exercise play an important role to lose weight. Try to avoid suger and carbohydrated food. Eat fruits and veggies, do regular exercise like swimming, cycling, running, yoga, breathing exercise etc.
Thanks,
