Another good article from 50-HuffPost @ 7 Easy, Proven Ways To Get Thin (And Stay That Way)

Eat protein at every meal and nothing is off limits are my two favorites. The rest are here 7 Easy, Proven Ways To Get Thin (And Stay That Way)

Oh yeah – get an expert doesn't mean finding an expensive dietitian. There are plenty of free diet guides online.

There are NO EASY ways to get thin and stay thin. It takes dedication, work and commitment no matter what plan you choose. And being thin is not the answer. Being fit is.

This.

I am thin and fit but I work at it every day....yesterday such a busy day - didn't work out (but did go for a 2 mile hill climb since the weather was actually warm)....trudged down to the basement at 9:30 pm, put on a movie and did my workout - finished at 11 pm. I am dedicated and committed to being thin and fit and it isn't always easy - but the benefits are so worth it!

Most thin people do not look like that. I have friends who are heavy (50+ lbs. overweight) who have claimed they are "fit", but their weight eventually causes knee and back issues, digestion issues, feet issues, often blood sugar issues, energy and stamina challenges. The term "thin" to me means that I don't have a lot of excess fat - overhanging fat - that I am firm and look nice in my clothes and feel light - and that my health is good - good cholesterol and blood pressure readings - normal blood sugar, clear supple skin, adequate energy to do the things I need and want to do, look good in my clothing (tuck my blouses in, slim skirts and shorts, etc.). Being overly heavy impacts all of these things - energy, self-image, health....so to fool yourself into thinking that you can be obese or nearly obese and be "fit" - well, that is not a lasting reality.
