This is the deal, and insults don't belong here...the people taking the injections were not hungry...s
sometimes with the 500 cal a day diet they thought in the evening, "Do I have to even eat the 3.5 ounces
of chicken?....ok, I will bec it's part of the prodical."
Anyone, not taking HCG injections or some of the drops (apparently some drops work fine, some don't)
would be famished!!
You just can not do 500 cal a day and be FINE!
However, bec of this female pregnancy hormone....men and women are not hungry "at all"!
Bec, the body is burning up fat...it isn't craving food all that much...fat is the fuel. It is remarkable.
So what you say about not working just is not true...I have seen it with my own eyes...and heard
the personal testimonies....ha, I just saw one working in a store...he looked so great...
He had done the injections for his last summer's wedding...he lost so much and kept it off...
Said he will never go back...I think he lost around 50 pounds....sure that was for last June 2013
and it is April 2014...he has plenty of time to gain back pounds in the following years, we'll
see....I believe 1-2 yrs is the average in any diet program that people are able to keep the weight off...
Old fun eating and drinking habits die hard.
Again, as far as unhealthy...remember they are eating the proper amt of protein to not lose
mus mass....unlimited greens like kale, spinach etc....an apple or tomato a day and some melba toast for
crunchy cravings....salads without oil in the dressing...I think u are allowed half a lemon a day...good
for salads....cheaters will have egg whites in the morning and use soy sauce..and still lose.
The main thing is to have no fat...or else the HCG will simply use that...not your stores of fat.
This actually is better nutritionally than many Amercan diets....that don't have a veg in the refridge...except
maybe iceberge lettuce...we all know that is true.
What qualifies anyone to say something does not work? Reading stuff? Sorry but...
Theresa, Sue, Cindy, Kelley, Veronique, Maryjo, Chris, Brooke, and Chris again....are all people
I know that say much different...and I can SEE it!!
Not sure about HCG drops, but HCG injections help to suppress appetite. Weight loss comes from reduced calories intake. HCG just helps in overcoming hunger. You still feel a bit hungry, but it will be easier tolerated then dieting without any aid. I learned about it from a doctor who specializes in this thing, and did those injections to lose weight himself. He was talking about injections specifically not about drops. In addition he recommended taking NAC.
You also can try "Advanced Natural Appetite Suppress" produced by Life Extension Foundation instead of HCG. Appetite Suppress does the same thing, e.g. helps in controlling appetite. Again you would need to make an effort to make sure that your calorie intake is low. For example you can follow GM diet for calories control, and supplement it with Appetite Suppress to keep hunger at a bay.
Would you please provide a link to the study showing this product actually works? Any diet that reduces total calorie intake will make you lose weight.

What happens when people using HCG do not know whether they are getting the HCG or (another) placebo? Answer: they lose the same amount of weight whether they get the HCG or not.
In a randomly assigned HCG vs placebo crossover study of 202 patients, we could not demonstrate by any objective indicator that HCG was beneficial in promoting weight loss, nor was there any significant difference in fat loss or body circumference measurements."
Also, patients dropped out of the study (indicating they were not happy with the weight loss results) at equal rates whether they were taking HCG or the placebo.
All of the participants lost weight on either HCG or placebo and regained it off treatment with either.
The study was a cross-over method, in which each patient took HCG for a while or placebo, there was a period of time off treatment, then took the other product. This helps to eliminate differences in the placebo and active product groups.
Sorry, this study trumps your anecdotes, and there are many others like it.
A 500 calorie diet is nutritionally deficient. It is dangerous. Some of the weight lost with it is muscle, and the weight regained is all fat. you end up worse off than before you started.
By the way, it is illegal to sell HCG drops for weight loss.

the hormone called "Ghrelin" is responsible for feelings of hunger. Not a female pregnancy hormone. I mean, how dumb do you have to be to buy into that crap? It takes just a little independent research to figure this out, it isn't rocket science. People are looking for a free lunch, a shortcut. They didn't get fat in a month, but for some reason want to lose it all in a month. Extreme's are "sexy", they sell. Being told by a nutritionist who's spent years of their life learning about this stuff that the best method is to slightly restrict calories consistently over the course of a year is not "sexy", it's boring.
No knowledgable nutritionist or doctor would tell you that 500 calories a day is OK in any way, shape or form. Anyone that does is on the HCG payroll and is getting a cut of the money you blow on bogus drops and injections. You cannot eat enough protein to preserve muscle mass and still stay under 500 calories. Maybe if you were a sub-5 foot tall woman with no muscle mass to speak of, maybe. Eating only 500 calories a day you WILL lose lean body mass along with body fat. Along with a lot of water weight (can be up to 20 pounds). The scale doesn't tell you WHAT you lost, just tells you that you lost something.
Oh, and not eating any fat is a TERRIBLE idea. We NEED fat in our diet (has to do with hormone regulation among other things).
You also should really learn about the placebo affect. Placebo studies on anti-depressants show that the sugar pills have literally almost the same success rate at suppressing symptoms as the real deal pills. Tells ya something don't it? If you believe the drops or injections will make you not hungry, that will be your experience. The mind-body connection is very strong and borders on the "supernatural", seeing as people have cured themselves of cancer by belief alone.
What part of Weight loss comes from reduced calories intake you do not understand?
There are different ways to help overcome feeling hungry which might be difficult to control. Many people need help in appetite suppressing. If it comes easy to you good for you, and you do not need any aids. Lisa612 has a problem at hand and asked for city-data forum members experiences. Maybe as Lisa612 asked you can provide your personal experience or experience of someone you personally know.

LEF Appetite Suppress works pretty well. Here is a link to an article on "Advanced Natural Appetite Suppress" produced by Life Extension Foundation Targeting Appetite Hormones To Prevent Food Cravings - Life Extension
You can read the entire article below just a couple points from it
In 2013, a brand new randomized-crossover study examined the effects of eating a meal of just the Italian Lamon variety Borlotto beans—not the extract—and compared the results to a meal of white wheat bread containing the same amount of available starch.25 Compared to the control meal, the bean meal resulted in decreased levels of the appetite-promoting hormone ghrelin and reduced hunger. Additionally, the people eating Italian Lamon variety Borlotto beans had 15% lower glucose and 16% lower insulin levels.25
......At the end of 12 weeks, the group receiving the Italian Lamon variety Borlotto bean extract showed the following improvements:3
Reduction in total body weight of almost 9 pounds versus only .25 pounds inthe placebo group.
Reduction of about 2.5 inches in waistcircumference versus only .6 inches in the placebo group.

What was it, the beans themselves or the extract? Your quote contradicts itself. How was the study blinded? How many were in it? A link to the actual study, please, since the company providing the information --- and sells the extract --- does not provide it.

My personal experience? If I reduce intake of food and exercise more I lose weight. It works every time and it's free. By eating less at one time, including lots of veggies, and eating frequently I am not hungry.
In regards to the bean extract, the study in reference # 2 was small and short term. It does suggest that it may indeed have an appetite suppresant effect. The question would be whether that effect is maintained.
Some of the other references do support that it is safe.
The same product is also marketed as a "starch blocker". It can block absorption of some, but not all carbohydrates. It is not without side effects, however:
"Obesity expert Louis Aronne, MD, says his patients usually don't stick with starch blockers for long.
'We just don’t see people taking stuff like this on an ongoing basis. When patients come in taking a carb blocker, they end up stopping either because of the side effects or because of lack of effectiveness, or both,' says Aronne, who directs the Comprehensive Weight Control Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
MacKay stresses that it's important not to rely only on supplements for weight loss. As he puts it, those products 'are not magic bullets,' and a healthy diet and exercise are also needed for successful weight loss.
'If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is,' MacKay writes."
4 women friends have been very successful doing the drops...2 said they were still hungry.
Which doesn't make sense bec the hormone would be using their fat for fuel.
One sign it is working is you're not hungry. Go figure.
I can't comment much more on it bec I don't know much about their cases,
or the company they purchased it from, sorry.
Any talk of it being a scam, sorry is not true at all...it always comes from
people that have not done it...you have unlimited greens, kale, spinach...a tomato a day or apple a day.
6-7 ounces of lean meat, some melba toast....endless salad with some lemon, vinegar, or tamari...
Just no oil...sound nutritionally that bad to you?
I bet you will eat way more dark leafy vegetables on this then most people here eat regularly...and less
saturated fat....doesn't sound bad to me.
I have tried HCG before and lost 35 pounds last year. It definitely does work and I know several other people who have been very successful on the HCG drops and have kept the weight off. You have to be careful when you get to the maintenance step. It is relatively easy to do.
The drops go for fat pockets in the body to burn it off, not the muscle or lean body tissue. Fat stores nutrition among other things and your body gets up to 3,000 calories a day burning fat as well as jam-packed nutrition in the drops so you never are cutting back, like on a starvation diet. You are correct in that people don't understand the diet and have never tried it so call it a scam. It is definitely not a scam and is well worth the money. It is the only thing that works for me and other people who have tried diets, hitting the gym, etc. It is a god-send for many people!
HCG is a SCAM people. Its a FRAUD. Snake Oil. Crap. Poop. Doesn't work. Its dangerous. Its a complete waste of money.
DO NOT EVER CONSIDER HCG!!!!!
Do a search here on CD of HCG and what will you find? The people who support it, or say it works will all have between 1-10 posts. In other words, they are NOT regular CD members with sufficient rep points that will give them and their opinions "weight" with what they say. Instead, they are people, or representatives of people who sell the HCG snake oil. Any person with half a brain will see just what the federal government has said - HCG IS A FRAUD AND DOESNT WORK.
