My doctor increased my dosage on the gabapentin I have been taking for nerve pain. I was taking it 3 times daily @300mg. He increased the dosage to 6 times daily@ 300mg and I noticed right away the affects of constipation, dizziness, and slight weight gain. My weight hovered right around 184/85 and then when I started taking it 6 times daily over the last 2 weeks I gained 2 1/2lbs. I slowly cut that dosage back and immediately, within 2 days noticed I dropped they same weight and lost the slow stool, and dizziness. I will definitely start to pay attention to the side affects of meds and funny thing is the increase in dosage didn't nothing more for the nerve pain!
