I'm feeling grumpy today, but I'm sticking to my diet. What are some ways you get out of being hangry- ( hungry/angry)?

I'm eating enough quantity wide and not too hungry, so it's not that.

Boy, when you come up with an answer to that one let me know. Though I don't tend to eat when I'm angry. I do eat when I'm stressed, or celebratory, or bored.....

I'm thinking maybe vodka. You get a quicker attitude adjustment on fewer calories.

I took a hot bath and read a book. I drank some hot tea. Now I'm much happier. :-)

I think it's just wearying to have to worry about my diet.

I totally get it. Personally, I think it's one of the main reason people fail at long-term weight loss. Changing a diet or long-term habit takes work and effort that never seems to end. I think most of the time I've gone off plan it's because I've been tired of having to be so diligent all the time, I'm just aching to sit down, eat what I want, feel full and satisfied, and for once not care about it. It's hard! Which is all the more reason it's awesome that you found a solution that did not involve sliding back into old habits. Ultimately, the new habit will be second nature and it won't seem like such a trial anymore.

I would be hungry all the time on your plan, but happy if it works for you.

Exercise. Instead of eating I workout when I'm upset

I was brought back here cuz I got a rep, thank you.
I have lost 16 pounds now...but was not trying for those last 2.

I just eat differently now...protein, a fruit, great vegetables...
I get full so fast.

AGAIN, if my food tastes too good...with spices or some condiment...
I want MORE....so I have to watch that..just be simple...salt and
pepper, soy sauce.

But so far I feel so darn good and wearing all my skinny clothes.
(Maybe a bit too much of my butt is gone, it's pretty small, oh well!)

I am exercising...also surprisingly while watching TV in BED!
It's amazing how many things I can do that really work my muscles!
Leg lifts in all directions, inner/ outer, sit ups, elbows to opposite knee,
Thigh master is very tiring!
Doing 3 pound weights for my arms, too..it's time to move up now, tho.

Oh, and I'm never hungry....and there are no chips, cheese (feta, blue cheese are ok
for garnishes) or anything else like
those in my house...

Picture a plate with a great chunky tuna fish salad (onions, carrots, celery),
fresh tomatoes, sprinkled with a little
feta, salt and fr gr pepper, basil, a dolop of cottage cheese w/ dill weed....
It is really hard to gain weight on that..very filling ...esp after the first 2 weeks
when you get used to it.

I made a mistake today...grilled org chicken thighs with a spicy salt from
a BBQ restaurant....it was TOO good and I ate too much...when one thigh
should have filled me up and I normally would have stopped.
Just sayin...I can not cook delicious foods!
Not good/smart for me.

One chicken thigh is very little food. I am glad you are finding success in losing weight.
