I guess you have to make a decision if you love your husband so much that you lose SOME weight (I suggest 30 lbs).

Or stay overweight and sexless which might turn into a divorce.

30 lbs or marriage? Your decision.

That being said, why have you changed your eating habits? Why do you feel the need to eat a bowl of cereal every night before bedtime? As we get older, it becomes harder to lose weight. If you keep eating like you are now, are you going to gain another 50 pounds?

Since you didn't tell us how tall you are, we don't know if you are underweight, just right or overweight. If your general health is all right, you can either stay the weight you are at or lose a few pounds. Has your husband also put on 50 pounds?- I know that you said that his suit size went up. He seems to have a problem with change, you (and he) will not always be the same way you are now as you age. Some change is inevitable and he needs to learn how to deal with it.
Yes, he's put on pounds but not 50 lbs or even 50% of his original body weight. He use to wear a size 44 suit. Now he's one size up at a 46. Probably not even a noticeable difference but a weight gain none the less.

You attracted your husband with one type of body and lifestyle and you changed that, according to you, in a very significant way. The response you received is only a normal response and you should expect no less. Now for your health. I suggest you look at the BMI standards and immediately get down to your recommended weight plus 10 pounds and no more. Fat is not healthy.

Healthy BMI for a 5'6" woman is 118 to 154 lbs.
Not overweight at all @150.

Way too thin at 100.

She is already there, without the extra 10 pounds.

This is odd - I am 38, weigh 135lbs, almost 6ft tall fit and work out 4x/week and I don't look as skinny as the women with 150lbs age 35-44 in that table. Not even close.

They only picked the top 10% for that comparison. hahahahaaaaa.

I do think it's a bit much to expect you get down to an unhealthily-low body weight, but barring extenuating health reasons, there's no good reason not to take better care of yourself and stay physically attractive for your man.

I'm 5'9 male and a weight of 185 so I'm overweight my BMI is 27.91 which is overweight/pre obese

Think I'd better start up the Krav Maga and swimming again!!

Yes, I think a compromise should be doable. 100 lbs is a bit low. 150 is a bit high. Something in between sounds right.

"Should my husband love me the way I am?" If we say YES, will that make him love you more?

If you want to be sexually desired again by him, I suggest to have a talk and negotiate.

BMI is BS. Apparently I am underweight. So not true.
