I've been eating 2 Egg Cheese Biscuits w/ Hash Brown at McDonalds. I'm thinking perhaps I should reduce it to 1 Egg Cheese Biscuit. 2 is too much? Too much calories?

I've been trying to gain weight so maybe I'm overdoing it. What do you think?

There's no way anybody can assess whether two breakfast sandwiches with hash browns is "overdoing it" with only the information provided. Is this daily? What is the rest of your caloric intake? What types of foods are you eating that aren't highly processed fast foods? What is your target calorie intake for a given day?

If you're trying to gain weight, you could definitely do more healthful high-caloric breakfasts at home and get more nutrient bang for your buck out of the deal. It's always best to have your calorie intake come from nutritionally sound foods, primarily.

I have no idea what the actual numbers are, but why are you only concerned about calories? You're certainly racking up fat and sodium, too. I think you need to research healthier ways to gain weight.

It seems that they use "liquid eggs" in that sandwich (among others), so I don't know what that translates to in terms of how many eggs. I'm guessing that there's just one egg in there. They wouldn't be giving you more than they had to, in order to call it an egg sandwich.

If you need to gain weight, 2 biscuits is the way to do it! If you are watching calories, then once a week is more than enough,...they have tons of calories!!! Yes...it's 1 egg per serving.

So thanks to the link provided, I've figured up that two egg and cheese biscuits and a hash brown patty clocks in at 910 calories, 51g of fat (78% daily value), and 2290 mg of sodium (95% daily value).

Seriously ... look into breakfast options that won't slowly kill you.

For REAL??????????

Oh good gravy, I'm going to have to rethink getting breakfast at McDonald's - I can't hardly believe the amount of sodium!!! PLUS I add salt to the hash browns!!! Lord, PLEASE don't let my Doctor see this! I'm not on a totally restricted sodium diet, but I'm on a "Watch the Sodium, Missy or You May Not Live To Regret It" diet and she will have an absolute FIT!!

According to McDonald's own website, it's 1,050 calories (each BE&C biscuit is 450 calories and the hash browns are 150).

So, yeah, OP maybe you should eliminate at least one of the sandwiches, or at the very least, switch to the Egg McMuffin, they are only 300 calories each. Two of them (and dropping the hash browns) is 600 calories. That's practically like being on a diet compared to what OP is doing now.

ETA: And Yandex is right, there are better ways to go about gaining weight by eating foods that are still high in calories but have better overall nutritional value and less fat and sodium. "Good fats" from oils, nuts and other sources. Whole grains that will keep you full longer, etc.

And pedaling on stationary bike for ten minutes, at 100 whatever it is (RPM?) and level 9 burns ONE HUNDRED calories. Yep. I know. That's it. Think how much you need to burn to compensate for all the Mc "goodness".
Ironically, when I'm on my way to my gym at 5am, I go past local McD. They already have booming clientele. 5 in the morning.
