Your weight fluctuates day to day, and also during the day. You should not weigh yourself every day. When I'm trying to lose weight, I usually weigh myself every 3 days. You should also keep weighing time consistent. I always do it when I awaken and before I eat.

Out of sheer curiosity I'll occasionally weigh myself at night and again in the morning. There can often be a difference of 2-3 lbs for me.

I do weigh daily. It works for me and helps me see the short and longer term ramifications of certain foods. There are conflicting opinions on weighing daily. Some say it's a bad practice, others think it's a good one. You have to find a system that works for your mindset.

I weigh myself once a week. I used to weigh myself daily and the fluctuations messed with my head. It is true in all aspects of diet and exercise - find what works for you. There is no one way to do any of it.

When trying to lose weight, daily weighing is bad.

When maintaining weight, daily weighing is good.

I agree with this. Weight naturally fluctuates with food and drink intake and release (bathroom). No need to micro manage it. Same time and day of the week would suffice. One 16oz drink = 1lb so yes, it will go up and down.
