I may be posting this in the wrong place, and if so, please forgive me. Is anyone good at estimating weight by photograph? Someone I admire very much, Christine Lagarde, is such a good role model for women and especially older women. She is vegetarian and does yoga, is six feet tall, but I cannot find how much she weighs.

One source** claims she is 135 lbs. but that seems too little to me. I'll post photos.

Weight estimate: Christine Lagarde-christine-lagarde-feet-663705.jpg

Weight estimate: Christine Lagarde-christine-lagarde-feet-3283772.jpg

Weight estimate: Christine Lagarde-christine-lagarde-feet-1934748.jpg

** That source also said she had no children (she has two) and they got her height and several other things wrong!!

Judging by the bottom picture, I'd say no less than 150.
The teacher in my class at the Y who I believe actually weighs 135 is almost as tall and thinner everywhere.

If she is six feet tall, she weighs at least 160, and maybe more. NO WAY is she 135, she would look gaunt. She looks healthy, but definitely not skinny in that photo. I am only 5'8" and I weigh 150 and do not look fat in the least, just filled out and healthy (I do light workouts). I am 69 y.o.

Yes, I was thinking 165. It's just for fun. I'm 6'3" and 165 is my thinnest. I look elegant but I'm hungry most of the time.

I'm 5'10 and 150, she looks more like 160-175, totally acceptable for someone her height and age.

When I was 135 I looked awful as far as I'm concerned.

I would be SHOCKED if she weighs less than 170 lbs.

I am also SHOCKED that CD is allowing what is basically a "Guess this woman's weight" thread. I wonder if this is acceptable across the board, or if there is a double standard at play here. If I were to start a "guess this woman's weight" type thread and have what is obviously an obese woman, would the thread get shut down? Would I get a temp CD ban? Would people not complain? The fact that this woman ISNT obese somehow makes this "guess her weight" thread okay? Im not buying it.

But I have so much respect for her; she is such a role model for women. It never occurred to me that my post would offend anyone: I just want to be like her. Here are some examples of her beauty, poise, intelligence and elegance:

Nicole Kidman is reportedly 5'11" and weight reported at 128 or I've seen 135. She's very thin, but she's an actress. Whether it's fair or not, people are judged by their looks, especially in the Art world.

Yes, I agree- I follow French news podcasts so have seen a lot of her even before she was named to head the IMF.

Of course, I grumble a lot that some women get brains AND looks and life isn't fair.

Well, it's quite heartening to have as a model a woman who is feminine, brilliant, poised and comfortable in her powerful role. Useful to women of all ages, and to men, also, I would say. The way she handles conflict, for example. Also the way she manages her own life. She keeps her weight under control with vegetarianism, yoga and bike riding. She has a very sexy boyfriend, much taller than her and obviously devoted to her. And she is welcomed in all ranges of economic venues.

I have nothing but respect for her.
