I don't recommend that at all! At least not for a novice at fasting....
I definitely needed food today. I have zero interest in full 24+ hour fasts, and I'm perfectly happy doing 5:2 (or maybe even an occasional 4:3), combined with my usual IF. But I want a full calorie day in between!
That's fine. I was just trying to clarify what 5:2 means.

Did my first 5:2 fast yesterday!
Didn't fit that description. You would not be doing it one day. If you would have said, "I just completed my 5:2 yesterday" it would have made more sense. That's all.

Ahh! I understand now. So yesterday I completed the first fasting day of 5:2 intermittent fasting. I'm not sure if I can do the second day tomorrow yet (it's tomorrow or Thursday based on my schedule this week....)
Next week Sunday, Tuesday and Friday are all good options for me....
Okay - Super Bowl weight gone, and I weighed myself this morning. I'm at the lowest weight I'm comfortable being at, so no more 500 calorie fasts for me. I'm happy to know I can do one!
And I'm going to keep it in my back pocket as an option in the future to offset big calorie event days. This makes me feel like I have more flexibility for those big events, and don't have to feel too guilty for eating all. the. cheese!
Valentine's next Thursday, so Friday I'm planning my next one. I'm gonna enjoy that day, big time! (the husband has surgery the day after V Day, so eating won't be a high priority for me anyway....)
