Has anybody tried Atkins but without cheese? So that's going to be meat, fish and greens, and perhaps something else, though no cheese?

I find that I lose weight if I just cut out the sugar and flour. I worry that Atkins diet has way too much animal fat in it. I would rather eat vegetables and more salads and so on.

you dont have to eat cheese. I personally love cheese and could live on it... well, almost.
depending on how are you are into the WOE, you will be adding more foods. Do you like Cottage Cheese, or is that out too?

You may want to read the south beach diet book too. Its lower in fat and may give you more options you like.
Look up low carb fruits. You can eat those too. Just count your carbs really and you can have most anything.
Like if you actually had some breading that took you over. Just go low the next day or for the rest of the day.

Who ever said Atkins would only allow a thumb-sized piece of cheese? Last I looked, you can have up to 4 oz of hard cheese -- that's a pretty big chunk if you weigh it.
