If someone offered you a million dollars cash or your goal weight for the rest of your life, no effort required, which would you chose?
Ask someone who doesn't tend to be overweight and he'll say the $1M.
Ask someone who has been fighting the battle all his life and he'll take the goal weight.

LOL. True. I'll take the money and run................ right to Vegas and the All-You-Can-Eat buffets.
Id really take the money, because for me, its absolutely easier (and fun) to maintain my optimum weight/fitness level than to make a million dollars.
I'd take the goal weight. If you gave me $1M, I wouldn't be much happier. The biggest stressor in my life is maintaining my health, including my weight. I can get to my goal weight, but it is hard to hold it. I workout like a mad man too, always have - but always have been fighting the battle too.
(How come we can't add this forum to our subscribed forums?????)
I've been battling w/ my weight for years, but I'd still take that $1M in a NANOSECOND!! really, if I tried hard enough, I could reach my goal weight for free/very cheap, but it would be much harder to come by $1M. plus, I could buy a state of the art treadmill w/ that money and my emotional eating would go down if I wasn't as stressed about cash

Sure anybody can reach their goal weight but hardly anyone keeps it off.
The treadmill would be irrelevant - exercise has nothing to do with weight control. (It is still good for your health though.)
I'm pretty good with money (I'm cheap) so I don't get too concerned about money so emotional eating is usually centered around stressful family life (I have four young kids) or studying for tests back in school.
So in essence, for you $1M would be enough to buffer the displeasure with the weight battle?

If it as simple as a goal weight, I'd take the money. If good health comes along with it, then goal weight would be my choice.
Exercise has nothing to do with weight control. Personal trainers are a waste of money. People know how to exercise; They know the right stuff to eat and the right amounts too. Lack of information is not a problem. In fact, ever notice overweight people are the most knowledgeable when it comes to food composition, calories, carbs, etc?
Unless you want to hire someone to physically prevent you from eating that chocolate cake at your kid's birthday party, or the donuts in the office, or the pizza at the soccer game, or the beer at the tailgate....and thus deprive yourself.....all the money in the world won't help you lose weight....just ask Orson Wells or Marlon Brando or William Shatner or Bill Gates...etc.
Definitely goal weight! I'd feel much better about myself if I weighed what I used to. No amount of money can get rid of the 'fat feeling'.
