Are hamburgers bad for your heart?
I am trying to increase my protein, so lately Ive been eating a lot more hamburgers. Usually every other day I have one. They are 28 grams of protein.
It says it is 12 G of Saturated Fat. I was wondering- is this bad for me? Should I limit my hamburger intake? I just love them with a slice of American cheese, fresh tomatoes, and onions and lettuce and ketchup. They also keep me feeling full!

When was the last time you had a blood draw analyzed by a doctor?
Before accepting advice from an anonymous internet forum and gettin responses spray painted all over the place, I'd check with a pro.

I can say that because I have a cholesterol problem, (reading too high) I was told by my doctor to stop the fast foods , especially hambugers. I can have extra lean hamburg once a month, chicken without the skin, easy on all red meats so we eat more fish, and very lean cuts of beef. I find weight watchers have great recipes that go easy on the foods that I can't eat.

What about lean beef hamburgers that you buy from the Grocery Store? Aren't they alright?

What does "alright" mean? Your question is too vague.
Are you interested in people telling you what you want to hear?

No, Im just trying to figure out fast food vs food we buy at the store.
I avoid fast food hamburgers. But they are usually cooked differently too.

Ground beef is usually very high in fat which is, in turn, bad for your heart. There really isnt such a thing as "lean ground beef" unless you go directly to a butcher who can grind you very lean cuts of steak.
My advice is to completely stay away from ground beef of any kind if you want to eat heart healthy. Stick to whole cuts of lean meats.

"because I have a cholesterol problem," as you said, so you want to avoid foods that are loaded with it, and it's animal products (meat, cheese, butter, eggs,) that are loaded with the cholesterol, and meats such as hamburger and pork have the addition of saturated fat..very bad for your heart.
For heart protection, read Dr. Fuhrman's book Eat to Live and see if you can wean yourself off the meat and onto other food choices...
Sounds as though you're loving your burgers...try veggie burgers, instead, just read the label and make sure there's no saturated or transfat in them)...once you slather on the condiments, it's hard to tell you're not eating beef...another option might be turkey burgers made from turkey breast...
