Question- How can I find out how many calories in different meats?
How can I find out how many calories are in a typical serving (-like from the grocery store size) of a boneless skinless chicken breast? and how many calories in a typical serving of filet mignon and other cuts of steak?
I've searched all online and cant find any info on it. Doesn't look like there is even a book published with this information.
Thanks in advance.

I've had good luck with this site. It really came in handy when I went on my diet.

I think any red meat should be avoided. Its really high in fat. Stick to chicken and eat lean red meat only occasionaly. Even if you aren't dieting - red meat shouldn't be eaten too often - it can contribute to lots of health problems. Just my opinion.

Fish is a great alternative to red meat. Not only does it have less calories and fat, but it's good for your brain. Salmon and halibut are my favorites. Halibut especially. It's kind of expensive, but so tasty. Salmon and halibut, when grilled, each have about 100 calories per serving. Ground beef, on the other hand, has about 300 calories per serving. I'm not sure what steak has in it, but I imagine it's also up there.
