I know of someone older, that needs to gain weight....
He is elderly, and lives alone. He told me that he just doesn`t care about eating. He said, normally, he`s not hungry, and he NEEDS to gain weight.
He has health problems, and the extra nutrients would do him good.
I was thinking of taking him meals. Suggestions?

Ask the doctor "Yes or No, Does [this man] have a health problem as related to his weight?" If Yes, then follow the doctor's advice.
If No, then consider a second opinion or forget about it.

No. I can tell you that is not the reason for his problem, but I`m sure it doesn`t help him, when he has poor eating habits, and low weight.

What do you mean by "No"? You already asked the doctor and the doctor said he doesn't have any health problems?
"What" is not the reason for "which" health problem?

He has "other problems" not related to his weight, in general. This is something totally diffrent. I am thinking that because he has such poor eating habits, that it could be a reason, or factor for him to not heal, from his problem. Does that make sense?
He is a frail man, who just doesn`t eat right. I would think, that would affect his "overall."
My question was...what can I suggest, to get him to gain weight?"

My suggestion is to not play doctor. Take him to a professional and let the professional decide. Look for a geriatric guy.
Internet forums are not the place to seek professional medical advice.
That's what I would do.

Yankeegirl, i wonder if he would do well with eating stew made from a crockpot? You could put lots of different vege's in it as they have vitamins, minerals and antioxidants along with some meat to ensure he's getting protein. Add a high potassium fruit on the side like banana or an orange and i'd think he would do well with that. It would seem to me that cooking in a crockpot would not be so burdensome compared to frying/baking meat and cooking other vegetables in different pots and pans etc.
Anyway i'm not sure if this would help but it's just my thought about it .
