I'm changing my eating habits. I'm trying to eat only veggies, fruits, cheese sticks, yogurt, soups and beans for my breakfast, lunch and snacks. I make a 'normal' dinner because I have a family and we are all together at that time. I know the food list is short but I eat plenty of it so I'm never really hungry and when I am I find something in that list to eat. I feel better eating this way but is it healthy? I get my meat protien at dinner. I'm trying to cut down my meat consumption.
Congrats to you for choosing to eat better. There's nothing wrong with eating meats. Just watch how you prepare them (not fried in grease).
Also, be careful of overdoing it with the fruits. Fruits are all relatively high in sugars so they are not (as another poster put it) "free food" that you can snack on constantly. I would stick to the normal daily allowance of fruit servings never any more. Look for low sodium soups as well.
Some other alternatives that you should consider:
Oatmeal
Grits
Whole grain cereals
Cottage cheese
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on whole wheat bread
Omletes with salsa
The most important thing is to eat healthy. I think your on the right track, but remember that your body absolutely needs good nutrition (fuel) to run efficiently so be sure to eat well.
I'm not much on dieting, and I have a sweet (chocolate) tooth. So what I did is cut down on my portions. I eliminated junk food, bread, and starches from my diet. If I get a sweet craving, I'll buy a candy bar or an ice cream bar when I'm out, but I don't keep it at home. I go to the YMCA three times a week and work out in the weight room, plus twice a week I take step aerobics and yoga. I've been doing this since June, and I've lost 4lbs.
They make food suggestions in there and you can switch stuff out if you don't want what they suggest.
It can be healthy if you are eating the right amount of things.Try to add more veggies in there too. I prefer fruit myself but veggies are best nutritional bang for your buck. Try some veggie burgers. My cooking secret is to bake them and burhs generously with a buttery flavored spanish olive oil that is made for dipping. It keeps the patties from being dry and adds a little flavor.
You are just on the right track of healthy eating. You can also try mushrooms, peanuts, and tofu to replace meat so that you will still have your source of protein.

I fix my sweet tooth by toasting 1 or 2 slices of whole grain bread. Then quickly put on peanut butter and 24 dark choc chips (12 if only 1 piece of toast). Finally I sprinkle a handful of dried cranberries or raisens and sometimes a sprinkle of cinnamon. Quick put the 2nd piece on top or fold the single piece in 1/2 . Wait a bit for the choc chips to melt a little & enjoy.
I often also sprinkle on a spoonful of oat bran, too.
Its like eating a candy bar for breakfast every day, or have 1 piece toast at breakfast and one for a snack later in the day.
Add a thin layer of vanilla yogurt to lightly toasted whole wheat bread then re-toast till melted. Great with almond slivers on top. Its like a pastry under 200 cals!
I suggest egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast, and egg frittata for lunch.
