Hey folks,
I am having a serious issue with my appetite for the last 2 weeks. I have not eaten for more than 36 hours and I feel I just ate !!!
I am not on a diet and I lost some weight since this happened.
my weight is 168 and my height is 5'9. so i think i don't need a diet.
I am just concerned there is something wrong with me.

your replays are highly appreciated

Go see a doctor. Thats how a lot of cancer patients find out they have cancer - no desire to eat/no appetite.

Get off the friggin' internet asking strangers "whats wrong with me?" WTF?!?!

anyhow, i am gonna pay a visit to the student health center on campus to see what's going on with my appetite.

I"ve had this "problem" on and off throughout my life and I didn't really lose weight b/c my metabolism shut down too. It lasted 2-4 weeks and always in the summer time. I'm still healthy at 51, so who knows?

I'm your height and 169 is overweight so you are pushing it. You must have been overweight before you lost those couple of pounds. I got sick before and went down to 136 pounds, so I wouldn't worry about being almost overweight at 168.

well 2 years ago before i went to college, my weight was 212. but i had a diet for 3 months and my weight decreased from 212 to 170 in 3 months. after that i have been eating regularly and i kept exercising a few times a week.

What I find with myself is that if I get hungry and then put it off for 3-4 hours, not eating for a total of 8 hours, my hunger actually starts getting suppressed. After 12 hours I don't get any urge to eat anymore. I'm not sure the exact mechanics of it, but I think your metabolism gets shut off and the desire to eat shuts off with it.

If it goes on for several weeks despite trying to eat, then I would probably think about going to a doctor and just getting some blood tests as part of an annual check up.

Well, if you were a Woman, I would suggest being ruled out for Ovarian Cancer as "fullness" is one of the symptoms. For a Man, I'm not sure, but I would take the advice and see a Doctor if this goes on for a few more days.
