Thanks! Well Sydney LOVES to eat and loves his Konk and any type of game/challenge you throw his way, so I'm sure he'll like these...he could probably go through the entire bag of dog food in a matter of a day if we let him!

Other popular one are the Buster Cube and Tug a Jug. I'm pretty sure my dog would never cuddle with me again if I made him work for food. I already have to beg him to eat, never mind if it required actual work!
i have the blue buster cube and a red ball that is about 6-8" across and dimpled like a golf ball.... the buster cube is their FAVORITE .....
got both at petsmart ....
i looked at the nina ottosson stuff a while back and it was just a little too pricey for me right now....
i think the buster cube and the ball were about $12-$14 or so apiece... well worth it as they keep them occupied and thinking and working while alone in the house......

I'm pretty sure that PC and Artie are related, somehow. I've bought a bunch of different puzzle toys for Artie throughout the years and filled them with treats. He'd look at each one, swat it around a bit, and then look at me as if to say, "Why? What's with the middleman? Take the treats out of the bag like always -- SKIP THE "INSERTING TREATS INTO TOY" CRAP!!! -- and just give it to me like always. That's how we USED to do it. Why stop a good thing?" And then he'd walk away, all miffed.
Yea, someone gave me the tug-a-jug. PC refused to tug, even though I put his favorite treats in there. He knows mama will give in eventually! Though I wish I didn't throw it out, because MB will eat anything in sight, I mean anything. It would have been interesting to see if he worked for his food! He devours his in 10 seconds, which can't be good!
Once a day, at about 5:30 p.m., not including the the small amount of kibble, small biscuit, peanut butter and/or yogurt stuffed in his Kongs and puzzle toys in his crate each a.m.
We could never free feed, he's a beagle mix and will devour anything that even hints of being slightly digestible on sight, regardless of how much he's already eaten. He has absolutely no shutoff valve, and if there's food, he's gorging on it.
We got him the Tug-a-Jug, since he does like the mental stimulation of having to work treats out of objects...all of his life is essentially a challenge to ferret out food, whether it's working frozen yogurt out of a Kong, or trying to open the pantry door and work the lid off a jar of peanut butter (no joke). But he's far too aggressive a chewer. The rope was lying in a pile of shreds in under 20 minutes (yes, I timed the destruction of the item, so I could write a review), the little rubber nubbly collar on the bottle neck was gone in a little over an hour, and by the end of the weekend, the bottle neck was gnawed off and the remaining aperture of what was left of the bottle was gnawed shut and nothing could get out. So much for "bulletproof" material. Not Willie-proof.
