PC is such a picky eater. He can go for days without touching food, even if we make him eggs or some other "human" food. He's just never been a huge eater and stops when he's full.

We are currently feeding him twice a day, but he usually skips one of those meals so it's really once, but not nearly as much as he should be eating. If you feed once, what time do you do it? I'm just worried that an entire day's worth of food is too much for one sitting, though I'm not so sure he'll even eat that much at once.

He's maintaining his weight, so maybe I should just let him eat half of what he's used to? I just don't want my baby to starve (I know, I know, it's the human in me, dogs won't starve themselves!). How often do you feed your dogs?

Twice a day - once in the morning after they go outside and once in the evening. I used to feed 1 time per day but one dog was put on diet food and the vet suggested splitting it between 2 meals.

Buster use to be free fed until little miss piggy Bella came along. We tried free feeding with her and she ate till she was sick. So now they get fed twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. However....Bella will sometimes not eat one meal, sometimes even two. The other day she didn't eat at all. Like you said, dogs won't starve themselves, if they're hungry, they will eat, if they're not, they won't. Don't worry

I offer food twice a day to Peter and Gunnar. Gunnar NEVER passes on food - its gone before I can close his crate almost. Peter he sometimes will eat his morning meal, and sometimes he won't. And then sometimes he'll skip his evening bowl as well.

About once a week I feed the boys raw beef bones with some meat on them and that will be an entire meal - which none will pass on.

My dog is a free feeder and that works out great. He's kind of put himself on a schedule of eating when we eat, though. His feeder is in the kitchen.

We're supposed to feed them???

But seriously, our dogs get fed twice a day. More or less on the "sixes", 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.

My girl gets fed 4 times per day, 7am-11am-3pm-7pm. They're small meals that have her medication hidden in them.

Yea, we used to free feed as well, and it worked out great. No more of that! And I really shouldn't worry, since Porkchop does live up to his name! Ok, not really, but he's not exactly underweight yet!

You need to teach me your medication trick. I've tried hot dogs, sticking it in his food, putting treats around it and somehow he still finds the pill and spits it out!

Free choice dry 24/7.

One can at night, most of the time they don't eat it.

They eat what we eat.

Spaghetti tonight.
