We had a blast at the dog park yesterday. I found one nearby that has a lake, but wasn't sure Beesley would/could swim. Turns out, this dog was born to swim!

It took him a few minutes to fully submerge himself in the water, but once he did, you couldn't keep him out. Here he is playing fetch for the 100th time.

YouTube - VID 00020.3GP

The lake has a dock in the deep end, so we tried to get him to jump off. He did twice, and on the third time, I wanted to film it. He refused to jump in! If you listen closely (especially at the end) you can hear him crying because he wants the ball SO BADLY!

YouTube - Beesley trying to get up the courage to jump off the dock!

We're going back tomorrow for more swimming fun

oh man .... he needs to come here and give bailey and dave swimming lessons..... they will wade (and bounce) all around up to about their chests, but so, far, that is IT......

i have discovered that their kibble floats, so will bring some of that the next time we go to the good dog park with the pond.....

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I'd only seen the first one -- the one of Beeze swimming -- on Facebook, but I hadn't seen the jumping (non-jumping?) one. So, so, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!

Does Beesley have some Boykin Spaniel in him? The videos you posted sure remind me of one. Very cute, thanks for sharing.

I'm close to the point where I'll be adopting a dog as my fur child again. I just love "water dogs".
