the shelter is paying for it ..... i brought him home with an eye infection and he has been to vet's office for 2 more of those and some sort of infection in a lymph node in the right side of his neck......

they are a well-funded (relatively speaking) no-kill shelter not too far from me.... founded by Marlin Perkins' widow MANY years ago.....

we go at 6:30 tonight....

and as much as i DO hope it is what has been described, i will REALLY feel like an idiot if it is.... ...... ah well, better safe than sorry...... and i may be finding a new vet that i like better than the current clinic.... she actually used to work at our current clinic and i think may have seen bailey a time or two in the past....

Don't you DARE feel like an idiot!

This forum and our opinions are not a replacement for a vet visit. You know that. Nobody is there to see EXACTLY what you're seeing. I'm not saying that it's something awful; I'm just saying that you're doing the right thing taking Davey to the vet, despite our assurances that it's *probably* nothing.

Agreed! If it is nothing, then awesome but at least you are making sure it is nothing. And good luck..make sure to keep us posted!!
