I have always found a lot of the dog intelligent rankings to be weighed too heavily on working dogs.

I think more emphasis should be paid on how well the dogs understand their owner and how quickly is learns commands.

Saying this though, Border collies are real smart and Poodles are too smart for their own good

The smartest dogs excel in Agility. That being said, I am happy that neither of my dogs are at the bottom of the list!

my boxer is pretty stupid. must come from a stupid bloodline. I am surprised Boxers are ranked that high, his entire family is a bunch of retards, but we love them

If mini schnauzers are smart I wish someone would clue in the three that some1 around the block owns in my subdivision.

Owner lets them out at 6 a.m and they yip and provoke my poor shar-pei, who like to sleep in...they tear out into the backyard...it wakes the whole neighborhood.
