Day at the Boat Beach
So it took me forever to finally upload pictures but about a month ago we finally got Sydney to the beach for the first time...and he LOVED it! We went by boat to the boat beach which allows dogs...it was a gorgeous day and it was pretty crowded there so unfortunately we had to keep him on a leash but he still had a ton of fun digging to china and swimming for the first time. Enjoy the pictures!
I don't know how to separate them to add my captions but the 5th picture is my favorite with his sandy nose and the 4th picture reminds me of an ostrich with his head in the ground

Ohhhhh! They're ALL great pictures. I like the ostrich one the best -- totally cracked me up. It's obvious that your boy had an awesome time!

So cute! Which beach is that near? The bay side of Sandy Hook allows dogs as well, as do several beaches near Belmar but they have to be leashed there.

We were down at my boyfriend's parents house in Ocean City..I believe the beach itself was in Deauville..between Ocean City and Sea Isle in south jersey. You can drive up by boat and they allow dogs..even off leash (but Sydney's still a puppy and with that many people around..he was safer on leash). We had tried to go to the Sandy Hook dog beach earlier this summer but they close down Sandy Hook in the morning on most nice weekends because it gets so overcrowded with all the weekenders..so you can't even get in to park. My parents live about 5 minutes from Sandy Hook so now that the summer is over, we're going to try going there with all the dogs since now we know he's such a little water rat. Here's another shot of my bf giving him a "pep talk" before his first time swimming

He definitely enjoyed the digging!! God help us, when we buy our first house with a backyard But he was one tired pup..as soon as we got back on the boat, he climbed up on a seat and passed out

I love that one too..I kept calling his name or scratching his butt so he'd come up for a breath every once and a while!

I don't remember- what kind of dog is Sydney?
What great pictures!
He might not dig so much in a yard with soil as he does on the beach. All that great sand. My two diggers preferred sand to the clay in the yard. They also eventually outgrew the desire.

He's an Australian Shepherd/ Mountain Cur mix...I think maybe a little husky too with those ears..and thanks! Unfortunately, I learned he enjoys digging in the dirt just as much as the sand today...had just finished steam cleaning the carpets and took him out to play some fetch..he found a nice patch of dirt to dig in and then bolted into the apartment before I got to wipe his feet ..good thing I hadn't returned the steam cleaner yet ..good thing he's such a cutie
