Doin' the happy dance..whoot whoot finally after a gazillion trips up and down the stairs he finally went and went and went. The squirrels have gone to bed so the distraction was not there. This boy and I have to have a talk about multi-tasking. You can watch the squirrels and piddle at the same time.

I do know what you mean Bull dogs are world class farters. When I had my boo-dog he could let one go that would bring tears to my eyes.

YAY!!!!! It's true -- when it's dark and the squirrels aren't running around, Artie is much more focused, doesn't bark in the yard, etc...

How was it this morning?

This morning went great. I was at a loss yesterday because he will hold it forever and I was worried his bladder would bust. I believe his attention span zeros in on one thing at a time and he looses focus on what he is supposed to do. He better not put me through that again or it's him or the squirrels

That's funny! LOL, yes, how easily they can get distracted. On the up side your pup has been making certain you also get your stairmaster work-out.

I got Dash when he was 1 yr old and trained him to pee on command pretty fast by rewarding him with a very yummy treat when he peed on command for me . Because he LOVED food he caught on real fast just like Jazz did as a puppy. I do think there were times both faked back when treats were a part of it. The eventually did not need the treats.

If your dog is asking to go out alot part of it may just be due to the fact he wants to check on the squirrles and does not have to pee. As Jazz would ask to go out front so she could see who was doing what in HER neighborhood.

Dashdog I think you are right. I just didn't catch on real quick. We are all adjusting to this apt thing when we had the house I could just leave the door to the back open and they all could come and go at will but in the apt. I have to read their body language and act accordingly. I am going out today and get some training treats and try that.

Your right they can pee just to get treats. Katie does it when I tell her to potty! But that at least tells me shes empty so we can go shopping. Sure dont need accidents in stores
