What hero! That is so cool that she seems to keep an eye out for your elderly neighbor and knew he was in trouble. I agree she does deserve a steak! Dogs are pretty amazing!

Great story. And since it looks like she is at least part pittie I think you should try to get her on the news for some of the good publicity the breed deserves.

What a good pup! Glad you paid attention to what Ninja was telling you! That pup has a new best friend with your neighbor too I'd bet. Thanks for sharing your story.

Default Similar story

What a great outcome. Our collie rescue did something similar a few years back and was on the news for saving our elderly next door neighbor. Her husband had left for a class reunion in another state, she was out lowering her sun shade and it was a very windy day. The wind caught the shade and knocked her down breaking her hip. We don't know how long she layed in the back yard yelling for help but out collie was acting out of character inside the house, whining and pacing. When my husband let him out he charged the brick wall and was trying to jump over it...he has never done this before so my husband looked over the wall (approx 5 foot wall) and the neighbor was laying there exhausted. An ambulance was called and everything worked out, when she got better she brought treats for our dog. He is a star in our eyes and we love him very much!

Wonderful story......and yes he is a star! What would we ever do without our dogs. These stories remind me of the way they used to portray Lassie and Timmy. But this is true life stories and true life heroes!
