My husband always gives me a hard time when I buy the boys new toys. When we were moving, we got to see all the toys in one spot and they filled up 2 boxes. I counted 78 last night...that is until my husband found about 25 more in one of his boxes. We also have about 20 in the car, all outdoor toys though.

I told him to look around when we go to friends' houses, all you see is dog toys everywhere as well. In my defense, the last 10 or so PC won from Kong and other toy companies in photo contests, so it's not like we're spending money on them. So how many toys are too many? I rotate, and keep a box in the closes for a few weeks that way they think it's Christmas all over again when it's time to roatate again. And they do (especially PC) play with them, so it's not like they're just sitting there!

Look how proud PC is of his stash, how can you say no to that face? I guess it's a good thing most stores don't allow dogs cause he's been known to pick toys from the bottom shelf and carry it to the register!

None. She doesn't do toys. She won't chase balls or frisbees, won't chew Nylabones or rawhide bones, and ignores squeaky toys and stuffed animals. I think it has something to do with living the first 3 or 4 years of her life as an unconfined outside dog in the high desert.

The only interest she shows in "toys" is for live prey. She has killed her share of mice, rats and wild/domestic rabbits since joining this household back in '07.

A crate full downstairs & a big basket full upstairs.
I think if I actually counted all of them...then the total of toys would make me think they MIGHT be a little spoiled.

They have tons of tennis balls inside & out as well.
The tennis balls that are outside are frozen, but it never stops Amos. He loves tennis balls, frozen or room temp.

He got a new red indestructible ball for X-mas, since his Sister has taken over his Blue one.
They are 15" round. Nice a big so they really have a BALL playing with them.

Amos is ALWAYS carrying aroung a stuffed animal...ALWAYS. We must have 30 or so stuffed animals, from the size of your fist to so big you have to carry them in both hands. Most of them are med-large to large size.

Roxy likes her collection of nylabones...which I just counted them, because we are donating a couple to a Dobie friend. She has 14 nylabones, all flavors & they are the big knuckle bone size.

Yea... I agree they are spoiled a tad...but they are our kids.

Right now, 3. Edison goes thru toys really fast. His teeth are like sharp razors, I have yet to find many good toys for him. The toys say tough, etc. but he still manages to destroy them in about a week. He doesn't like rubber types of toys sadly.

Compared to PC my pup is toy deficient. Yet, he has 2-3x the toys and of my dogs had prior to him.

so are bailey and dave.....

in my defense, neither plays with or retrieves ANY kind of ball.... they do have some stuffed squeaky toys that wind up un-stuffed.... some sooner than later.... and then the carcass is used for rousing games of tug-of-war.... and they do have bones (beef and rawhide) lying around all over the place.....

Darcy is down to one. She has taken the stuffing and squeeker out of every toy that she has ever had.
