FYI I am not sure if it is a bad batch or something, but our lab has been having bad (read: starting to become a HUGE concern with blood) diarrhea with the latest batch of TOTW Wetlands Canine formula. He's been on it for probably 4 or 5 months with no issues, but the second we gave him food from this batch, we pretty much call him "leaky faucet" with how much he has been having accidents... I am going to bring him to the vet tonight but keep an eye out...

We gave him a rice/yogurt diet for the past few days and that cleared it up, but we tried cycling him back in to the TOTW food with just a little bit with a good amount of rice and he was back to bad diarrhea. So we pretty much ruled out everything except the food.

For me, I'm getting a small bag of BB Wilderness Duck (what he was on prior to TOTW).

Sounds like a bad batch of TOTW, you're right. I'd contact TOTW too and let them know and get them the vet report if that's what it turns out to be for sure.

Thanks for letting everyone know. There are a few people here that feed that!

Think I should bring some food to the vet tonight? Would the vet have any tests to run on it to confirm?

I doubt it but I would send it to the company for testing.

My JRT is having probs with TOTW too, I just bought a new bag and he started throwing up, so he's on rice and chicken right now. I did notice the bag said "new forumula" more bison...hmmmm.

I think I'll call 'em tomorrow.

Wetlands and now bison too? I just bought a 30 lb bag of the sierra (lamb) one. I have a few days of the old bag though. I'm off to do some googling.

Please let us know what happens... we sent off a heavily worded email so we may call if you get good results.

ReturningWest, I don't know how you ended up but TOTW couldn't do anything without a batch and lot number, so we are SOL since we throw the bags out right away (not anymore).

I talked with my vet first and he wanted me to go back to 4 small feedings to see if that helped...and it did, my dog is ancient and had abd surg last year for eating a rock he couldn't pass, so he's developed a bit of a "tummy" issue and since I went back to 4 small feedings he's quit throwing up, he thinks he's now starving to death but oh well, so I won't be calling TOTW...sorry.

No problem with TOTW here. All 4 of mine are eating it. They just polished off a bag of recently purchased Bison and Venison and are working on a bag of their Pacific Stream formula now.

Stools are fine and the dogs seem to be feeling great.
