Our yellow lab will be 9 next month, and he is getting a little too old to jump into our SUV safely; I especially worry more about the pressure on his front legs jumping down.

So I'm looking for recommendations for the best and lightest dog ramp/stairs. I'm thinking about something that could work on the rear side door VS the back hatch.

I see things such as "Half-Step" and "Pet Loader" but not sure about the quality or if they actually do the job.

Appreciate any insight you can provide. Thank you!

We purchased several and returned them all except this one. It's very well-made, the dogs like it and the surface isn't as harsh as most of the ones out there. I especially love it, since my boy wouldn't be able to go in the truck with me since I can't lift him and he can't jump that high.

I have the same ramp as I don't want my 9 year old jumping out of the pickup as I am concerned about those shoulders even though he is doing ok so far......I have seen the wear and tear........

It is a well made ramp. The little rubber feet were history within a day and a friends has lost the snap that holds it shut for carrying but it is a solid ramp, is light, and works very well for us. I bought at Petsmart.
