For those of you who think it's a "waste of time" to try to educate those we might consider clueless or set in their ways, or on their own agenda and not willing to listen, or however you look at them, I ask you to think again.
You just never know when your words might make an impression.
You don't have to be confrontational, or aggressive or "I am right and you are wrong". But it doesn't hurt to just make a passing comment, if an oppourtunity presents itself. Those animals can't speak for themselves. It's up to us to speak for them.
If your words sink in to even one brain, you've made a difference.
