The police here are very good at getting there in record time.

I would! Even with very good police response, seconds could make a difference for the dog's life. But I don't have a brick in my car and I will add one.

I'm not sure how it connects to insurance though. Poor dog! To think that this actually happens pretty frequently is just so sad.

The idea is to bash the window with a brick, not a throw turning it loose. I don't think my wrist is still strong enough to punch through a car window so I'll go with a brick or rock or something to get the dog out, even a kick.
