What kind of mutt? (terrier, breeder, adopted, breeds)

Okay, i know this is asked alot on this forum, but i am trully stumped. Im usually good with guessing at least the dogs main breed..but i cant with him. I adopted this little guy recently into my home. Hes a great dog, gets along good with my other terrier, VERY territorial and nippy at times. Has hip dysplasia so hes on meds. Not sure his age either. I was told jack russell might be a possibility.I know terrier, but what KIND? Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the HUGE pics..couldnt get the resizing to work.
My guess goes with some of the others a border terrier. I have friends with one and that looks alot like ther dog.
