I have never heard of this??? I was sharing some sites on APBTs with someone and when I was scrolling down to APBT, American bully caught my eye. I clicked on the link and read about it and this is some of what it says..

"The American bully breed was established in the mid 1990's with the purpose of creating the ultimate family companion. The American bully was created through years of selective breeding combining the desired traits from the UKC American Pit Bull Terrier and the AKC American Staffordshire Terrier. The American Bully's origin's can be seen on both the East and West Coast of the US, primarily in Virgina, and Los Angeles, California. Today the American Bully can also be seen in Europe and Asia."

Okay, that is great that they bred this dog to be a family dog, but in my opinion, instead of trying to make a whole new breed, why not better APBTs and AmStaffs. They are two of the most amazing, stable, people-friendly breeds in existence already, but so many careless people breed them these days, it would have made more since to breed wonderful APBTs and AmStaffs instead of trying to create a whole new breed. That's just my opinion though.

Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone had heard of this breed and I wanted to see what people think about this. Here is the link.. American Bully Information and Pictures

Looks like they may have thrown in some English Bull dog as well looking at the legs....dog in picture seems kind of short & stocky like an English Bulldog...which is really known just as bulldog..but unless you throw the English in many people don't know what you mean

I love it!

I'm so tired of so called designer breeds that I could spit nails nothing but overpriced mutts. That's like folks buying a car with a Lexus emblem and a For Escort build.

APBTs and AmStaffs are short as well. They aren't as short as English Bulldogs, but they are small-medium breeds. A lot of people don't realize it, but these are not large breeds, the ones that are large have been crossed with another breed. Our largest APBT comes up to my knees and I'm only 5'3" he's also only 48 pounds. I thought for sure he was 55-60 pounds, but he just got weighed at the vet the other day. Our two females are even smaller than that. Our youngest, Destiny, is only 30 pounds, but they are the size they are supposed to be for the breed. The dog definitely looks like APBT/ AmStaff mixed, but I think it's ridiculous that someone would make a whole new breed at all and then to make it worse they are mixing two of the most abused, feared breeds in the world! These breeds are some of the most wonderful, intelligent, friendly, loyal, devoted, goofy breeds in the world, but because of what some people have done to some of these dogs, the last thing we need is more so-called "dangerous" dogs for people to want to kill off! As of right now, we don't need anymore dogs in this world.. period! There is another thread on here about people wanting to send stray dog to Korea! We definitely don't need more dogs in this world when the ones that are already here can't find homes! And then on top of adding more dogs to a world overflowing with dogs, they decide to make a whole new breed instead of just breeding good APBTs and/ or AmStaffs??? I just don't understand some people! Instead of making a whole new breed, people need to properly breed the breeds that we already have! There are two main reasons why some "pit bulls" are aggressive or mean, one is how they are bred! So many people will carelessly breed these dogs, obviously resulting in a poorly bred dog, then these breeds tend to end up in the wrong hands. People like drug dealers, gang bangers, dog fighters, etc end up getting "pit bulls" because they want to look "tough" and they won't do what needs to be done for the breed, they will abuse and neglect these poor dogs and they will train them to be mean and fight! Anyway, my point is, if these breeds were properly bred and in good homes we wouldn't have mean "pit bulls", or at least not any more than any other breed. Instead of making a whole new breed, they should have properly bred APBTs and AmStaffs and then placed then in good, loving, responsible, respectful homes! That way we can start to give them back their good name!

Oh, after I posted this post I realized that it sounds kind of mean.. lol! I was just saying that "pit bulls" are small dogs and then I ended up rambling on and on! lol! Sorry if this post came across the wrong way!

I saw one today in the paper - not the one you're talking about, PBM - and not a cocker-doodle-doo-doo or whatever...a puggle. What the hell is a puggle? All I can come up with is pug and beagle - please don't let me be right....

I know, I couldn't agree more! I have been sick of "designer" breeds ever since I first heard of this crap! lol! All it is is purposely breeding mutts, giving them a funny name and then basically robbing people! What's so sad is that you can go to the shelter and adopt a lab/ poodle mix, a cocker spaniel/ poodle mix, etc for $60 and give it the good loving home that it so desperately needs, but instead people decide to go buy a labradoodle, cockapoo, etc from a breeder for $1,000+ and add to the already overflowing dog population and just let the dogs in the shelters get put to sleep! It makes NO since! Why pay so much money for the same kind of dog that you could save from a shelter?!? As I said in my other post, what makes me sooo mad about this is that they should have properly bred APBTs and AmStaffs instead of making a whole new breed! These breeds are amazing, they just need to be properly bred and put in good homes like all dogs do! Instead of making a whole new breed like that, they could have helped to better these breeds and helped to mend their image!
