Shame on Wal-Mart!
Wal-Mart pulled dog treats made in China off their shelves in late July because they were receiving complaints from customers that they were making their pets sick. Yet, here we are in the middle of August and Wal-Mart has still not made a public announcement or recall claiming that they are still "testing" the product.
They have put a block in their system to prevent the products from being sold in their stores at the cash registers, but if you already bought the product that is your problem.
Here are a couple of links to related stories.

There was another story about this stating that Wal-Mart had offered a cash settlement to a woman who had a dog die after eating those same treats. Sounds to me like they know the treats are deadly and yet they are not doing anything to warn people.
When are these companies going to learn that while products from China may be cheaper, they have proven to be toxic in many instances.
How much profit is your pet worth? Shame on them.

I bet they aren't saying anything because they are hoping that people won't realize that it was the treats from Wal-Mart that made their pets sick or killed them! I don't know, I can't think of any other reason for why they wouldn't warn people? I don't buy anything for my babies from Wal-Mart or any kind of grocery store! We go to Pawrific Pets right down the street from us for everything, and we don't feed them food that is sold at grocery stores. Even with that though, we still worry, you know? I'm just so sick of this! We shouldn't have to be scared that we might be poisoning our babies every time we feed them!

Thanks for the post- proving again that we should never buy any products from Wal-mart. All they care about is slave labor and the almighty dollar- its a disgrace....
My h. once bought meat from there- I wouldnt even feed that to a stray dog!!!

Speaking of meat, I bought some about a year ago and was sick for 3 days with food poisoning.
I went back and told them and they asked me if I had a receipt (i had thrown it away) and told me that without a receipt, there was nothing they could do about it.
Walmart used to be a good place but since the old man died and his kids took over, it's changed.

Did you ever notice if you run into Wal-mart to get one thing at night, they have 30 aisles and only one cashier? Their customer service stinks- sometimes the store is dirty also...we should all just boycott it- to save 1.00 on an item is no longer worth it, to me.

At least Walmart lets us train in their stores unlike others..I get my Purina through them and I know some will say crap food but my dogs are in great condition..But will I go to a pet store pay double the money for something no way. I know to many go to these specialty stores then feed their dogs venison and such now if I went out shot a deer and fed to my dog I would get fined(wouldn't anyways to good meat to waste and not need deer runners when do SAR).

why would they want an extra cashier at $5.15 an hour, that is $5.15 that could go towards someone in upper management or a stockholder

lol- because when people spemd ,more money, they want decent service, the customer should come first.
I could care less about Wal-mart; I get the same dog food at Kroger for 3.00 more. At Kroger the stores are new, clean, and the help is polite. I will never shop at Wal-mart again.
