He fellow dog lovers. I just got this email forwarded to me and my heart goes out to these 2. I can't foster anymore due to health problems, but perhaps you know someone that would like to help. I believe this shelter is in southern CA. Of course, they need a permanent home, but a foster home would be second best. If you can pass along the info, hopefully someone will step forward. Sorry for the small type
No interested parties. Bob, the Chi, is doing well, but the stress of kennel life is getting to Irene. The vet tech has been treating her when the occasional wounds appear and the volunteers give them as much attention as possible and they get to spend time in the real room. Neither dog is endangered. We just want them out ASAP with the proper family.

A Love Story like No Other: Bob & Irene
“Would you date a guy shorter than you?”
The answer is simple for Irene, a 1-year-old stray Pit Bull mix at the Agoura Animal Shelter. It is a resounding “Yes!” Why? Because the love of her life is Bob, a 4-year old Chihuahua mix. For many it might be hard to believe, but love knows no bounds for this female Pit Bull and male Chihuahua. Bob and Irene’s Love Story is not like many you’ve read. They came into the shelter as strays, looking as if they had been on their own for quite awhile. Good-natured and easy to leash,
it was clear from the beginning there was true affection between them. They walk well on leash, take treats nicely
and may be housebroken as they wait to go potty outside of their kennel. At night you can find them happily and lovingly snuggled together on the same bed.
Their story of dedication and love for one another has won the hearts of shelter volunteers and everyone who comes into contact with them
Irene with her warm, caring eyes and beautiful smile as well as her affectionate, energetic and playful personality -- and Bob with his quiet yet curious nature and easygoing attitude -- make for the perfect pair.
These two loyal and dedicated companions are looking for a happy, forever home – together.
They have so much hope that you will fall in love with them just as naturally as they fell in love with each other!
Irene is bright and can sit on command (imagine what else she can learn), while Bob prefers to be held and carried around
maybe so he can lovingly look into Irene’s eyes without having to strain his neck)
Bob's ID A4330461 Irene's ID A4330459
