The black and white photos you posted Kelly are of your dog aren't they? He looks more than 18 lbs, but then photos make him look larger, if they are of your dog. Where are you getting DNA done? I would like to find out what this new pup of mine is.

I had a lot of problems with my border collie. She is very sensitive. At least I know she is purebred and an AKC register. But this other one may be a border collie/aussie mix and he does have herding instincts. when I get dressed to go outside he begins pulling on my clothes because I wear the same type when I garden. I have thought him a coonhound and a lab, but the vet where I got him said aussie and then later on border collie. at least he is not sensitive.

you guys/gals should check with ...gizmo980...he's a moderator I THINK he had his mix tested. IF I am right [could not find the thread] he can give you more information on the test.

This is my Tess:

She's about 30 lbs, 16" at the top of her shoulder.

When I lived up in Portland, at the local dog park there was a lady who owned several American Staffordshires, and we agreed that Tess was probably part Am Staff - but compared to the other (show) dogs, Tess is smaller, more lightly built, with a much steeper "cut" up from her chest to her hindquarters, and has huge raised ears. She's also very high energy (far more than any of the Am Staffs), runs fast enough to keep up with the whippets and greyhounds at the dog park, extremely people-oriented and friendly, chases anything furry that runs. Her favorite dog park antic is to grab and stick and go around whacking other dogs with it until she finds one that will either chase her to get it or will try to play tug and take it away from her. Her coat is not the single fine coat the Am Staffs have, either, it's slightly double - a fine coat with longer black guard hairs.

I am with utazo on Matt's dog, we get a lot of catalouha hounds up here mixed with pit, or shepherd and sometimes rott or a herd dog type. I thought at first that Kelly's was a sheltie border collie mix or even a Mcnab and border collie mix. My friend Pam has a McNab Border collie mix that looks like Kelly's and another friend has a same mix that is only black and white.

Sorry, but where do you guys get Papillon??? Papillons have lots of hair, curled tail, and weigh at most a few pounds.

I see alittle terrier/boxer in there; not enough broad shoulders to be a Am Staff or full pit; and I don't see any collie. That's just my take on it.
