What's changed in the house recently? When was the last time he was at the vet? Is he chewing all over or in one specific room?

Most dogs are in the habit of chewing articles at early stage of their life. With proper training you can get rid of that issue altogether. However, first thing should be to know what causes the dog to chew the things. Check out this article which explains it in very detail. How to eradicate chewing habits of dogs
