I don't know what it is about this time of year but here we go again...( previous years I lost my mom in Nov, Jazz in Nov, Dad Oct., Dash Sept...no wonder I now hate fall) Phoenix has taken a rapid downhill slide this weekend and is not eating, is not following me around, sleeping most of the day and last night after I went to bed she went out the pet door and slept in the cold rainy night. I thought she was dead this AM as she was sooo slow to respond to my touch, I brought her in, warmed her up and gave her sub-q fluids and soon we will be off to see the vets. We will be seeing the newest vet as she is the only one with time today but because of her kidney disease she has to be seen today. She is a little perkier after being warmed and getting fluids but refuses food and being underweight this is not good.Anyway she needs your prayers to get her through this. I am prepared for the worst as I know renal failure can happen fast but I am holding out hope as except for not wanting to eat and being lethargic she does not show other signs of renal failure. will let you all know when I get some answers...

Oh CRAP, no!

I'll be thinking good thoughts for Phoenix, good and healthy thoughts.

Keep positive, Jan, so that we can have something to be thankful for on Thursday.

xo

I'm sending lots of positive thoughts! All three dogs we've lost, it's been in the last half of November. It makes a gloomy time of year that much worse. I hope Phoenix will respond to the fluids and share all of the holidays with you!
