Ouch Driller I just saw this thread.

Sorry to hear about your injury.

Those darn hunt'in dogs got some power.

I was also the victim of a leash wrist wrap injury with Brutus but seeing as how I outweigh him by about 200lbs I only suffered some injured and sore ligaments for a few months.

Take care and enjoy not doing the laundry for a while.

Driller, sorry you are still in pain. I have been out of sorts for a couple of weeks and just saw your thread.

I hope your r/c is not torn. OUCH!!!

I agree with LTTP, when they are on a mission, OMGoodness...they are on a mission!

When I leash Diesel (should add "Vin" to his name he's so strong) and take him out to do his business, he hunts squirrels during the day and I have to be "on guard" ALL the time.

One day, I was visiting with my neighbor and he was sitting behind me...and he saw one, he about yanked my arm off...and I am not a small or weak. Good thing I had good footing or he would have taken me down, he caught me off guard. Yep, lesson learned!

Interesting, when I take him for walks, he's a gentleman. Walks beside me...he's on a different mission.

"Gotta get that damn vermin!" "Bark" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel) "BARK" (Squirrel)...and on it goes, LOL!!!

Probably somewhere in there, it's "let me off this darn leash and let me kill that bushy tailed tree rat!!! I can do it and I will do it for you, please, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!

For Diesel it is no game. It's the real deal. Spanky thinks its a game to be played...but given half a chance, I think he could do it...and do it, well.

Please take care of you. It is the only way you will heal. Hubby can do laundry a little longer so that he will have a better appreciation for what it is you normally do. (Not that they don't appreciate us...it's just a good reminder...)

(My hubby got a taste of monthly grocery shopping ((Wal-Mart and Costco)), ha, ha, he was plum tuckered out carrying cases of water, his monster energy drinks, bags of groceries and dog food!) I just reminded him that what all we did together, I normally do alone.)

Good news today.

First for those not in Michigan, I will explain we have no-fault auto insurance.
This means my insurance pays my medical, lost wages and 4 hours a day for replacement services. (any work I would have done)

Setting an amount for a self employed person can be hard for lost wages.

We finally agreed on a figure and I got my first check with the back payment today.
