The PNW is terrible for fleas. Lewis and Clark wrote about the infestations in abandoned Indian dwellings (log huts) that made it impossible to use the huts for camping. When I was in Michigan I learned that they were active through the cold winters as they simply stayed on animals. Humidity is the friend of fleas. That's what determines whether they're a problem whether it's hot or cold.

Fleeas are miserable and potentially lethal.
Interesting....maybe ill give frontline a new try! Thanks for ur reply! Super cool of u

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude but I was trying to be helpfully honest. The text message abbreviations are so distracting that by the time I figure out what it means I've already lost the flow of the sentence. When typing on a computer keyboard is it really easier to type "wud" instead of "would" or "r" instead of "are"?? You might get better answers to your questions if you made the extra effort. People are very helpful on this forum but if we can't decipher what you're trying to say only those who are fluent in "text speak" will be able to respond. Otherwise, everyone else will get distracted and ignore it. It's just a helpful word of advice and I don't mean to sound rude.

To answer your question:

I agree with the Diatomaceous earth food grade that another poster mentioned. The stuff is fantastic. The fleas in the Pacific Northwest are actually notoriously bad with historical records showing settlers and pioneers complaining of them.

Your post was just fine. Try and ignore the rude person unfortunately there are a lot of them. I live in Southern California and lived in the Pacific Northwest Spokane for a while. Fleas are worse here in California where I live than they were there.
